Opening with a soulful first verse from the five saxes in 3/4 time and concluding with a gentle bossa nova treatment in 4/4 for the full band. Coming in at two and a half minutes duration, this chart if perfect if you want a short Christmas item for your festive big band programme. 

No improvisation is required in this arrangement but playing with good time is essential to pulling off this chart without the safety net of the rhythm section. This score uses flugelhorns rather than trumpets for big warm sound and the optional extra tuba part can really fatten up the bass end if available. This chart also comes with a set of "World Parts". There are Bb treble clef transpositions of all the trombone part to allow them to be used by treble reading players or to be substituted for Bb euphoniums/baritones.
